‘Bowen’s Own’ Art Show Celebrates Local Creativity at the Hearth Gallery

This spring, the Hearth Gallery invites the community to experience the richness of local creativity with ‘Bowen’s Own’, a new three-week exhibition running from May 13 to June 1, 2026.

Designed as an inclusive and supportive platform, Bowen’s Own shines a spotlight on artists who may not have had the opportunity to exhibit in a professional gallery setting. Whether emerging, returning to their practice, or simply ready to share a piece or two, this exhibition creates space for artists at all stages of their journey.

This show celebrates all Bowen Island artists across all disciplines — including visual art, sculpture, and literary works — the show reflects the diversity and depth of creative expression within the community.

The public will experience artists who have not been represented at the Hearth Gallery in the past five years, helping to ensure new voices and perspectives are brought forward.

At its core, Bowen’s Own is about encouragement, accessibility, and connection for both the artist and the viewer.
