We need your skills, interest and commitment to the Arts on Bowen
Stay connected to the creative Bowen community by volunteering to the Hearth. Our gallery volunteers are an essential part of our organization and we wouldn’t be able to do what we do without them. Becoming a gallery volunteer allows you to work directly with the Hearth and help us run events, workshops, and more.
Who ‘The Hearth’ is
As Bowen’s arts council, The Hearth supports all forms of artistic expression by Bowen or visiting professional artists, aspiring youth and community groups either at The Hearth Gallery’s beautiful, purpose-built space in the Cove Commons in Snug Cove or elsewhere on the island. When the new Community Centre is built, The Hearth will also be supporting artistic use of the performance space.
Join the team at the Hearth Gallery! Guaranteed interesting and fun!
Gallery Volunteers are needed. We are looking for people who enjoy working in a social artistic setting. Shifts are 3 hours per week (or more if you want) during gallery hours. These volunteers enjoy meeting and discussing art with the public, art sales and basic administration tasks.
The Visual Arts Committee, a group that supports the planning and operations of the gallery, is looking to fill three positions. Included in this Hearth Gallery support role is to bring arts to our community and our community to the arts. The Hearth Arts on Bowen sees this committee as the support for a full-spectrum art scene. The time commitment includes monthly meetings and an average of 5-6 hours per month for various tasks.
If you are interested in learning more about these important roles with the Hearth Gallery, please complete the form below or give us a call at 604 947-2454. Thank you for your interest.
