MINI ART WORKS & GALA
Our annual fundraiser, the Mini Gala is back!! Saturday February 24th.
The Live Auction component will be led by an Auctioneer and will start at 7:30. Approximately 20 pieces will be pre-selected on Feb 24th for the Live Auction based on the number of bids from the bid sheets. The Silent Auction component will conclude shortly after the Live Auction.
The evening includes refreshments, bar service, live entertainment and tons of fun! Participating artists are invited to attend the Gala at no charge. Tickets to the Gala are $20.
Please encourage your friends and family to purchase their ticket to the Gala early – we sold out last year!

Tony Mainwaring, featured artist in Catching Stars Cooperative Gallery for the month of January. His wood and resin creations inspired by the nature of forests and coastlines graces the gallery. Not just gorgeous, but functional pieces that bring colour and the natural beauty of wood and stone. Two local families have already purchased benches for their homes. These beauties can also be custom made for your space.

Artist Calls for Entry
The Bowen Island Public Art Advisory Committee (PAAC) is excited to announce an open call public art opportunity for the new Community Centre. The opportunity is to provide a graphic design/artwork to be applied onto selected doorway and window glass areas throughout the Centre. This artwork/design will be reproduced in adhesive vinyl to be applied directly to the glass panels in order to meet safety requirements for visibility.
CALL TO PERFORMING ARTISTS: Here's Bowen Arts Tour has committed $300 per performance for 6 - 1 hour Performances during the May 25 & 26th, 2024 Bowen Wide Art Tour! Times: 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm & 2:30 pm
Please submit a short paragraph/proposal to us about what you will do during your performance.
Perhaps you have written a book and wish to recite an excerpt from it, or perhaps you wish to sing or play music, or... we welcome you to send us a short proposal.
Deadline is Jan 30th, 2024.
