Join us the week of National Indigenous Peoples Day to celebrate through art, storytelling, and film. See below for details.

These events are brought to you by Knowing Our Place, an initiative of the Bowen Island Library, the Hearth Gallery, and Pauline Le Bel. The aim is to learn our true history with Indigenous peoples and to foster mutually-enhancing relationships.

Join us for family friendly crafts and activities from 2:30-5:30. From 5:30 onwards there will be mingling, drinks, music, and appies to enjoy!

Bowen Island Public Library: A free program for kids (8+) and teens, presented by our Teen Advisory Group.

Join us Saturday, June 25 at 2 pm to create horrible art! The challenge is to make the tackiest piece of art you can in 45 minutes, using the library’s ugliest craft supplies. Then, check out other participant’s work and vote for your “least” favourite. Whoever receives the most votes will win a prize. Leave your good taste at home, and do your worst!
