Alex Wells visits the Bowen Theatre to present a cultural performance to share stories that have been passed down from generation to generation through song and dance.

Each historical dance has its own story to tell, from the outfits to the steps into the hoops, a creation story of life and of plants and animals. 

This special performance is in support and celebration of National Indigenous History Month.

Alex Wells is from the Lil’wat Nation, Mount Currie, BC, Canada.
First Nations Dance and Cultural traditions such as hoop dancing has been his family’s way of life for Alex and his brothers, who were brought up through many years of cultural ceremonies and gatherings.
