Bard on Bowen! Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival is bringing a Shakespeare workshop to Bowen Island. This playful theatre workshop will be led by a Bard teaching artist. Kids will get to explore the stories and characters of Shakespeare, focusing on tales of magical forests and mischief! They will be encouraged to discover how the text resonates for them. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to perform and play Shakespeare!
Bard on the Beach is Western Canada’s leading non-profit Shakespeare festival, presented each summer in Vancouver’s Sen?á?w/Vanier Park. It features professional Shakespeare productions, related plays, and special events, drawing about 100,000 attendees each season. Bard is known for high-quality theatre in a friendly, accessible setting, as its Bard Education programs offer year-round workshops and learning opportunities for youth, emerging artists, and the wider community.
