Is it a bird, is it plane, is it a Contemporary Dance piece or a community dance party on stage? Come Dance With Me is an ambitious creative project co-produced with The Hearth Arts on Bowen and in partnership with Bowen Community Recreation. It premieres at the Bowen Theatre to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the Community Centre. This interactive performance weaves Bowen Islanders together into a spectacle of unison dancing yet with delightful individuality, to create a collective exuberance on the stage. Like a Flashmob, but much more, this is a Contemporary Dance piece incorporating complex choreography and clowning sequences, an original sound score and lighting design, as well as clowning stage managers who must ring-lead the tidal wave of the public onto the stage to build its heart-felt finale.
