Cosmo Campbell
BIOGRAPHY
Cosmo is a Vancouver based photographer and artist, who studied Graphic Design at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, in South Africa. Working in advertising for over 30 years, traveling extensively and living on four continents, has informed his personal work through observations on the human condition and how we interact with the environments we inhabit.
Cosmo uses photography, and painting as tools to explore the vulnerability of existence. Both his high-resolution photographs, and his expressive acrylic paintings provide haunting scenes that aim to draw viewers into a state of contemplative hypnosis.
The need for soulful reflection is what drives Cosmo to create works that evoke emotion. His professional and personal work has been awarded by many national and international award shows, exhibited in galleries across North America and Europe, and has been featured in many publications. He was also been selected for an Artists Residency in Portugal in the fall of 2023.
