Events on Bowen Island

This is Carmina Bowena’s first real concert since our debut in September 2021! Get your tickets early! Carmina Bowena in concert, Tuesday June 27th, 7:30pm at Tir-na-nOg Theatre

Carmina Bowena, an a capella chamber choir of currently 10 mixed voices, under the direction of Nicole Thomas Zyczynski, is excited to share with you some of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written for choirs. Tir-na-nOg Theatre is the perfect venue for a smaller group of unaccompanied singers to perform,  an acoustic allowing the audience and the singers to hear and experience the music intimately, in high fidelity.  Our program of songs from the serene to the saucy is mainly drawn from the Renaissance period (400 years ago) though we do have a couple of modern favourites as well. We look forward to seeing you there on Tuesday, June 27th, 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased at Cates Pharmacy or at the door. $25

You are welcome to join Bowen Island artist and author Ingrid Hauss in this creative event hosted by the Bowen Island Library on Saturday afternoon, July 8th. Celebrate the launch of Ingrid’s book about art, movement and the awareness of creativity in everyday life.
